ST. VINCENT FERRER CHORALE

The Saint Vincent Ferrer Chorale provides music
for the Sunday 12:00 Noon Mass from October through June as well as
for
the many principal liturgies throughout the church year including Christmas
and Holy Week. The choir, along with orchestra, also presents concerts
throughout each season including major choral works such as Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Requiem, and
Mendelssohn's Elijah, to name a few. Special music offerings such
as the annual Advent Ceremony of Lessons and Carols and the annual Festival
of Hymnody and Sacred Poetry are also included in each season.
Dr. Mark Bani directs the choir which is comprised of over twenty dedicated volunteer singers as well as eight of New York City's finest professional singers. The choir performs a vast repertoire of sacred music spanning the centuries, including music of the medieval, renaissance, baroque, classical, romantic, and 20th century periods.
Choir rehearsals are held from mid September through early June one or two evenings each week.
New singers are welcome and encouraged to contact Dr. Mark Bani (212) 744-2080, ext. 114 to learn more about joining the choir.
